I have recently accepted voluntary redundancy from Tesco after 18.5 years Service, before this happened we had a one to one with a Manager and one of my queries and the deciding factor as to whether I accepted the redundancy was I kept my loyalty card.
Just a couple of weeks after left my card was stopped, when I contacted customer services at Tesco, they said that I am not entitled to keep the card and was told by Managers that I would not be able to keep it. Just one of many lies that have been told to Tesco's employees by Managers has anyone else encountered this probably or am I the only one. I have e mailed customer services and have got a standard letter back, reading between the lines they think I tell lies as well.
As for Terry Leahy, he cannot even be bothered to answer, Tesco do not deserve the loyal staff that they have working for them.
All I can say is Morrisons's here we come!

My Sister and her husband have just been made redundant by tesco after nearly 60 years service between them. This has come totally out of the blue and they are devestated. Tesco do not give a damn about anyone. It does not matter how long you have worked for them or how hard you have worked.

of coarse they dont care you idiot,you are just a number on their payroll, all big concerns are interested in is profit and figures / targets, you lick their boots and if your lucky they give you a little chocolate button on the tongue, if you can find any left that is: go and work for a small family business! stop supporting these tyrants! btw, most won't listen or care lol but we are all doomed, no wonder we are in resession
i think its about time there was a new manager in tesco in bathgate west lothian.he i so arrogant and nasty he has no time for the customers hes driving them all away he just likes to sit on his backside and do nothing get rid of him.
I have been hurt and destroyed all because of a store manager I used to work for later the store closed down more than 8 years ago. What a shock to learn what this particular store manager had done to me.What a shock, biggest shock of my life.I have been absolutely devastated since the store closed down.I have been absolutely been hurt and so hurt over it and nor can I get over it.
I can certainly think of one particular store manager in question and boy I wished I never met this person ---- unpleasant, horrible and ungrateful.
I liked to name this particular store manager so the whole of Britain can learn from their mistakes as I have learn from my mistakes.
This particular store manager will never appreciate good staff or good workers.

All I can say is Do Not Be Loyal In Your Job as I DID a few years ago,later the store closed more than 8 years ago - What a shock to learn what the store manager did to me after the store closed - What a shock and the biggest shock of my life.I am deeply hurt and angry over what this particular store manager had done to me and nor will I get over it.

You seriously need to re-appraise your life Anonymous! For the best part of a year now you have been posting almost daily comments about a manager you seem to have been badly treated by. Your own behaviour is bordering on obsessive compulsive and may go some way to explaining why you lost your job in the firs place - whether or not the store later closed!
